Every school requires a Health and Safety Policy.

A policy should contain a statement of intent, responsibilities and general arrangements for managing health and safety and should reflect the school’s status.

Model Health and Safety Policy for Academies, Voluntary Aided and Foundation Schools.

Community Schools and Voluntary Controlled schools should follow their local authority model policy template (if they have one). Although there are elements of this policy that could be adapted.
