Why Practice school Lockdown?

The Department for Education (DfE) has recently published extensive guidance for schools and colleges in relation to security.

The guidance stresses the need for schools and colleges to have in place specific policies and plans to manage any incidents relating to security including lockdown and for these plans to be practiced regularly (at least annually). This course has been put together to help train their staff effectively in Lockdown procedures.
