Introduction:
Every year thousands of people become ill from working with hazardous substances at work. This can include contracting types of cancer, asthma, emphysema, dermatitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Who the course is aimed at:
This course is primarily based for people that work in an environment where they will be working with or near dangerous substances in their day to day work. By completing this course, workers will have a better understanding of the use of hazardous substances, safely and effectively. Employees will learn the risks associated with using these substances but how to correctly manage them so as they can ensure their safety at work.

Training Outcomes:
- Understanding what COSHH stands for and why it is important
- The ability to identify danger warning symbols

- How to carry out correct health surveillance
Test and Certification:
At the end of the course you will be given a test of 20 multiple choice questions. The required pass rate is 85%.
You will be able to download and print (if required) a digital certificate on completion of the course.
Main course certificates last 3 years. (Refresher courses are available and recommended every 12 months).
Accreditation:

Course Duration:
Main Course: Approximately 45 minutes (excluding time taken for the final exams).
Refresher Course: Approximately 35 minutes (excluding time taken for the final exams).
