The DFE have provided guidance on what is to be included in the supporting pupils in medications policy. The DFE have also produced template forms for schools to use.

Staff that administer medication should attend managing medications training.

 

Where you may have pupils with complex medical needs then the local school nursing service or specialist nurse for example for diabetics from the local hospital will provide specialist training.
